After it developed some weird issues on Friday I thought it needed some carb adjustments. I took it out for a short drive yesterday, but it was still pretty bad. I had to keep choke on or it’d start to die on idle revs, and it still backfired when engine braking. However, after a little drive, it seemed to get better. When I got back to the garage I couldn’t get it to die at all, and it’s been perfectly alright today as well. Huh...

Oooh, one of the 1.1s. Pretty rare.

Also carbs can suck pretty bad. On my Schwalbe I would get hot start, good idle, or top end speed, or mid range torque, but never all of those things.

Ah, the worst kind of fault. The one that happens all the time except when you go to try and fix it.

Nice Trabi.

I’m thinking the engine got slightly flooded when the car hopped over a speed bump and it fouled up a spark plug. Hopefully I won’t have any more problems of this sort.
